Tom McInerney has been teaching for ten years and has loved every second of it. Before that, he graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in International Studies and Russian. After spending over a year in Moscow and Volgograd, Russia teaching English, he returned to the U.S. and taught sixth grade in Chicago. There, he earned his Masters of Arts in Teaching and recognized the importance of technology in education. He incorporated it as an everyday tool his students used in the classroom. In 2012, he moved to northern Colorado to teach technology to elementary students and help teachers learn about its power and importance as an educational tool. He couldn't be more excited to continue that mission at Bethke Elementary School.
Tom has a wonderful, kind, smart, funny hard-working and beautiful wife, Lindsay, who teaches 8th grade algebra and geometry at Lesher Middle School. They recently had a son, Thomas, he's pretty cool. And they have a dog, Ryley, who is a loud and energetic beagle/terrier mix. His favorite hobbies are fishing, biking, and disc golf.
